Each time we go back to Italy to our family home, the first thing we do​ is go to the 'supermercato' and go grocery shopping.

We love stocking up on the freshest of ingredients, breads, cheeses and pastries. 

One item that is always in our basket is a 'bucket' of cured lupini. I love these little golden orbs of deliciousness. 

While in Italy my Zia came to visit and was horrified that I had bought the lupini.

It was there and then that she taught me the correct method of curing the beans.

I haven't turned back. You will always find a jar of these in my fridge. 

So, now here in Australia we have used traditional italian methods to cure our Lupini beans.
